Advanced Training for Professional Flying

The Commercial Pilot License program includes 20 hours of dual flight instruction in either a single engine or multi engine aircraft. During these flights, you will learn advanced maneuvers, precision landings, and complex aircraft handling techniques while strengthening your emergency procedures and operational judgment.

You will also complete 10 hours of focused ground instruction with one of our experienced instructors. These sessions cover commercial aviation regulations, operational standards, and professional responsibilities to ensure you fly safely and remain compliant as a commercial pilot.

For those planning to pursue a Certified Flight Instructor rating, enrolling in the Single Engine Commercial option is required, as it provides the appropriate foundation for instructor training.

Commercial Pilot License in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Commercial training here uses the geography deliberately. The 250-hour and cross-country requirements are met on real South Florida legs — up the coast to Palm Beach, west across the Everglades, and down through the Miami Class B corridor — while commercial maneuvers are flown in dedicated practice areas minutes from KFXE.

Complex and multi-engine time is available on site in our Piper Seneca and Beechcraft Duchess, and single-engine time building starts at $60/hr wet, which is what keeps the local cost of a commercial certificate low.

Commercial Training Across South Florida

We train commercial candidates from Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Hollywood, Coral Springs, Aventura, Doral, Miami, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, plus relocating and international students who stay in accommodations near the airport.
