Why Train at KFXE?
Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE) is a city-owned general aviation airport and one of the busiest GA fields in the United States. It is towered and has instrument approaches, so every flight is a chance to practice working with ATC.
The field is home to four fixed base operators and a U.S. Customs facility with Global Entry. We operate our company-owned training fleet from Hangar 42D at 1811 NW 51st Street, right on the airport.

Why does time building matter for an airline career?
Airlines hire at 1,500 total hours, so the fastest, cheapest path to that number decides how soon you get hired. Our company-owned fleet and low block rates let you log those hours without waitlists or rental markups.
How fast can I log 100 hours at KFXE?
Most pilots finish 100 hours in about 10 days with us, because we schedule up to 12 flight hours a day, 7 days a week, and South Florida weather cooperates year round.
Who logs PIC on a shared time building flight?
Both pilots can log it. Whoever wears the view-limiting device logs PIC under simulated instrument conditions, and the other pilot logs PIC as the required safety pilot scanning for traffic.
What happens if the aircraft has a breakdown?
Breakdowns are extremely rare given our preventative maintenance protocols. Should one occur, we have a full 24/7 maintenance team on staff ready to get you back in the air as soon as possible.
How is flight time calculated (Tach vs Hobbs)?
Flight hours are calculated and billed using the Hobbs meter, which records the time the engine is running.
Are there any cancellation fees for weather?
No, there are no cancellation fees if you decide to cancel the flight due to weather conditions you deem unsafe. Safety is always our top priority.
