    What Our Students Say

“Flight Time out of FXE is the best place to build time!! The absolute best prices and of upmost importance to me the flexibility is top notch! I was able to build time incredibly fast while at the same time having a flying job. This allowed me to hit ATP minimums in time for my upcoming class date. The aircraft are well maintained and any squawks are promptly addressed. I was able to forge new friendships and easily hit over 8 hours of flying every day I flew. I would love to highlight the incredible kindness of the staff and emphasize how well they treated me! Shout out to Johnny, Lexi, Mark and Stefan and the other Flight Time staff for all they did to keep the pilot group safe and keep us flying! Blue Skies and Tailwinds!”

“If you’re serious about building time efficiently, this is hands down the best place in the country to do it. My name is Tony, I’m from Nashville, Tennessee, and I’ve been here since February. I came in with 300 hours and the goal to reach my ATP minimums as quickly and as cost-friendly as possible and this place did that for me. I fly 8 hours every single day and the operation here makes that kind of consistency realistic. The biggest advantage is the fleet. All the planes are actually well-maintained, reliable aircrafts that you never lose a day of flying because of availability or maintenance. That alone sets this place apart. The flexibility is amazing. You make your own schedule, go wherever you want, fly when you want, and fly with whoever you want. You can fly as much or as little as you want, which is huge depending on your goals and pace. On top of that, the pricing is unbeatable. These are EASILY the best priced airplanes you’ll ever fly. For anyone coming from out of state, they also offer housing, which makes the process easier. Overall, this is the number one time-building and flight training operation in the nation. If your goal is to build hours quickly, efficiently, and without headaches, there’s no better place to do it.”
“I’m currently in private pilot training, and I’ve really been enjoying everything so far. I’m still in the process, but I’m very grateful I chose this school and I’m excited to keep going. The instructors are all great, especially Fernando. They are very knowledgeable, patient, and easy to learn from. They take the time to make sure you actually understand things instead of rushing through lessons, which makes a big difference when learning to fly. What surprised me the most was the size of their fleet they have a lot of Piper and Cessna planes also multi engine planes all in really good condition. It makes me feel very confident in my training knowing the planes are well maintained. They are also very flexible with scheduling. They really work with you, especially when you’re trying to balance flight training with everything else going on. Overall, it’s been a great experience so far, and I’m looking forward to finishing all my licenses here at Flight Time.”
“HANDS DOWN, best time building operation in South Florida! Don’t go anywhere else if you’re looking for a good 61 school or a place to build time! The planes are super well maintained with a diverse fleet of aircraft. The school director Cris, is a standup guy as well. Everything is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and accommodating for whatever you need.”
“Flight Time helped me achieve my goal of hitting my ATP minimums. The faculty, the planes, and the people that I met along the way made my journey rewarding and enjoyable. There is no better place than Florida to build your time and polish your skills as a pilot. You won’t find a better place for the price point. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here and couldn’t recommend it more.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Flight Time! From the moment you walk in, you can tell they genuinely care about their students and their success. “I started flight lessons here and completed maybe ~10 hours before needing to move out of state. The school is great and well put together with several planes. The owner, Johnny you can tell does really care about the students getting quality education and works hard to get feedback. Any problems and he's quick to correct them. If I remained in Florida I would have completed flight school here. I would recommend going here for anyone looking to start flight training.”

“Came down from the northeast where flying weather is a constant issue. South Florida weather windows are longer and the program here knows how to maximize them.More flyable days per month than anywhere I've trained before. For time building specifically that matters enormously.”

“First program I've done and feel like i set the bar pretty high for myself lol. The house was comfortable, met some great pilots, and the team was helpful from day one. Lexi had answers to every question i had before i even got there which made the whole thing stress free”

“Came for multi-engine time in the Duchess and left with exactly the hours I needed in record time. The scheduling was all done for me once I submitted my availability, and the checkout process was very smooth. No wasted time anywhere in the process. I loved Flight Time, highly recommend!”

    What Students Consistently Mention

Read enough pilot feedback and the same three themes surface: aircraft availability, instructor continuity, and how quickly a maintenance squawk gets resolved. Those are the practical variables that decide whether a student finishes near the FAA minimum hours or forty hours above it, and they matter far more to a training outcome than any marketing claim about a facility.

The fourth recurring theme is scheduling. Because our fleet is company-owned and dispatch runs twelve hours a day, seven days a week, students can hold a standing daily slot instead of competing for whatever an aircraft owner has not claimed.

How to Evaluate Any Flight School's Reviews

Look past the star rating. Check whether reviewers say what certificate they completed and roughly how long it took — vague praise tells you nothing useful. Look for comments about downtime, instructor turnover and billing surprises, since those are the three problems that cost students the most money and the ones a happy review will not mention.

It is also worth reading the negative reviews closely. A school that has never had a dissatisfied student either has very few students or is curating its feedback; what matters is whether the complaints describe a pattern or a one-off, and whether anyone responded to them.

Questions Worth Asking Before You Enrol

Ask how many aircraft are on the line today versus how many are in the fleet, whether maintenance is in-house, how many students each instructor carries, whether quoted rates are wet or dry, and what happens financially when weather cancels a flight. Ask what the school's typical hours-to-checkride figure is for the certificate you want, and whether examiner scheduling is handled for you.

We are happy to answer all of those in a phone call, and we would encourage you to put the same questions to every school you are comparing us against. The answers will separate the options faster than any review page can.

    Come and See the Operation

The most reliable review is the one you conduct yourself. Visit the hangar at Fort Lauderdale Executive, look at the aircraft, talk to students on the ramp, and watch how the schedule runs on an ordinary weekday morning. A discovery flight is the cheapest way to test whether an operation matches what it says about itself.
