20 minutes from Coral Springs • 300+ VFR days/year • 12hrs/day, 7 days/week
Coral Springs residents are approximately 20 minutes from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE), where My Flight Time operates South Florida's most comprehensive and affordable flight training programs.
Coral Springs is one of Broward County's largest suburban communities, and many residents are drawn to aviation careers or recreational flying. MFT provides Coral Springs students with a professional training environment that is close to home but far more capable than the small grass strips scattered throughout western Broward.
PPL ($11,900), IR ($11,800), CPL ($4,050–$11,100), CFI ($5,800), time building from $60/hr. Weekend and evening scheduling available for working professionals.
Coral Springs students usually start with the Private Pilot program, add an instrument rating, then move into the Commercial Pilot program or the Airline Pilot Program. Career-track pilots close the hour gap with time building at KFXE — every rate is listed on our pricing page, and the aircraft you will fly are on the fleet page.
South Florida's year-round VFR conditions. No seasonal delays.
From Coral Springs the usual route is Sample Road or Atlantic Boulevard east to Powerline Road, about twenty to twenty-five minutes. The Sawgrass Expressway is the faster option from the far west side of the city during afternoon traffic.
Coral Springs draws a lot of family-schedule students, so we build training weeks around school hours — mid-morning flights between drop-off and pick-up, with ground lessons handled in the same visit. High-school and college students from the area typically fly two afternoons plus a Saturday morning, finishing the Private Pilot certificate over a single school year without disrupting classes.
Coral Springs sits on the western edge of the Broward practice areas, so students here fly directly into maneuver airspace within minutes of departure. Local training routes take in KPMP for non-towered work, the Everglades conservation land west of US-27 for stalls and emergency procedures, and KBCT to the north. Longer legs west across the state to KAPF or KFMY give students a genuine over-Everglades cross-country with real diversion planning.
