FLIGHT TRAINING

We train Private Pilot ($11,900), Instrument Rating ($11,800), Commercial Multi-Engine Add-On ($11,100) and CFI ($5,800), plus bundled Professional Pilot and Airline Pilot pathways and FAA license conversions for foreign certificate holders.

Full-time students typically finish the Private Pilot License in 4-6 weeks, the Instrument Rating in about 6-8 weeks, and the full Professional Pilot Program in roughly 6 months. The Airline Pilot Program, including time building, generally runs 10-12 months.

You can start training before you hold a medical, but you need at least a third-class medical certificate to solo, and a first-class medical if you plan to fly for the airlines. We refer you to local FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiners near Fort Lauderdale.

We train under Part 61, which lets us tailor lesson sequencing to your schedule and prior experience instead of following a fixed classroom calendar. Accelerated students routinely fly twice a day, which shortens total training time and reduces repetition.

Each flight lesson is paired with a one-on-one pre-flight briefing and post-flight debrief. Written test prep is self-study supported by your instructor, so you can knock out FAA knowledge exams early instead of waiting on a class cohort.

Checkrides are conducted by FAA Designated Pilot Examiners we work with at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. We handle scheduling and only endorse you once you're consistently flying to Airman Certification Standards.

Primary and instrument training happens in our Cessna 172s (including G1000-equipped), Piper Archers and Piper Warriors. Multi-engine training is flown in our Piper Seneca and Beechcraft Duchess. Every aircraft is company-owned and maintained in-house.

Yes. Part-time students usually fly 2-3 times per week, including weekends. Because our fleet and instructor team are large, part-time schedules stay consistent instead of stalling between lessons.

Program pricing covers aircraft, instructor time and the syllabus for that certificate. Not included are FAA knowledge test fees, DPE examiner fees, headset and personal equipment, and any additional hours beyond the program's estimate.

Yes. We support M-1 visa students and foreign certificate holders. International students must complete TSA Alien Flight Student Program vetting before starting training toward a certificate, and we guide you through that process.

You submit the FAA Verification of Authenticity form 45-90 days before travel, then complete the required FAA checkride prep with us. Many conversion students finish in one to two weeks once verification is approved.

Additional hours are billed at our published hourly aircraft and instructor rates, with no penalty or re-enrollment fee. Most students who fly consistently finish at or near the program estimate.

Yes. We work with third-party aviation financing partners, and students can also pay per phase of training rather than the full program upfront. Our team can walk you through the options during your consultation.

Yes. The Airline Pilot Program takes you from your first lesson through Private, Instrument, Commercial and CFI, then into time building so you can instruct or continue accumulating hours toward the 1,500-hour ATP requirement.

KFXE averages more than 250 flyable days a year, so lessons rarely cancel. Summer afternoon storms are usually short-lived, and we shift lessons to early mornings or evenings during that season.
