Commercial Pilot License Program Florida

Take the next step toward a professional flying career. Our Commercial Pilot License program at KFXE prepares you for airline-level precision and professionalism.

Your Path to a Commercial Pilot License in Florida

A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is your gateway to getting paid to fly. Whether you are pursuing a career at a regional airline, corporate aviation, charter operations, or flight instruction, this certificate proves you can operate aircraft to the highest professional standards.

At My Flight Time in Fort Lauderdale, our CPL program is designed for efficiency. Our students benefit from year-round flying weather, a well-maintained fleet, and experienced instructors who have trained thousands of commercial pilots. We operate from KFXE — Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport — giving you exposure to busy airspace, ATC procedures, and real-world flying conditions.

We offer both Single Engine Commercial and Multi Engine Commercial tracks. For students planning to pursue CFI, the Single Engine Commercial is required. For those heading directly to airline applications, the Multi Engine Commercial provides the multi-engine PIC time airlines want to see.

    Commercial Single Engine — $4,050

The Single Engine Commercial program includes 10 hours of dual flight instruction focused on advanced maneuvers — chandelles, lazy eights, steep spirals, power-off 180s, and precision landings. You will also complete 5 hours of ground instruction covering commercial regulations, operational standards, and professional responsibilities.

Program duration: 1 to 2 weeks. This includes all dual instruction, ground school, written exam, and checkride fees. The national average for commercial single engine training is approximately $28,000 when bundled with flight time — our program assumes you already have the required hours.

    Commercial Multi Engine — $11,100

The Multi Engine Commercial program includes 20 hours of dual instruction in our Beechcraft Duchess, a twin-engine aircraft used by airlines and training centers worldwide. You will master engine-out procedures, Vmc demonstrations, multi-engine aerodynamics, and complex aircraft operations.

This program also includes 10 hours of ground instruction and all exam fees. Duration: 1 to 2 weeks. We also offer a Multi-Engine Add-On for pilots who already hold a commercial single engine certificate, starting at $6,050.
