Time Building Packages

Pre-built time-building blocks for commercial pilots, CFI candidates, and pilots chasing airline minimums. Predictable pricing, guaranteed fleet access.

    Our Time Building Packages

50-hour single-engine block — ideal for commercial cross-country requirements or wrapping up final PIC hours.

100-hour single-engine block — perfect for fresh commercial pilots starting the hour-build journey toward R-ATP or ATP.

250-hour single-engine block — the most popular package; commercial-to-CFI candidates and international pilots converting hours toward FAA ATP minimums.

Multi-engine blocks (25, 50, 100 hours) — Piper Seminole or Seneca, ideal for ATP/airline application competitive hours.

Custom mixed blocks — combine single and multi-engine time with optional cross-country routings to the Bahamas, Keys, or Florida's east and west coasts.

    What's Included in Every Package

Wet rate (fuel included). Aircraft insurance. Unlimited landings at KFXE. Use of pilot lounge and flight planning facilities. Online scheduling.

Optional add-ons: short-term housing 5–10 minutes from the airport, safety pilot pairing for IFR proficiency, instructor-led cross-country to the Bahamas, and ground briefings before unfamiliar airports.

    Block Pricing

How to Pick the Right Package Size

The right package is the one that matches the certificate you are chasing, not simply the cheapest hourly figure. A pilot who already holds a Private certificate and needs to reach the 250-hour Commercial minimum is usually looking at a 100- to 150-hour block. A pilot working toward the 1,500-hour ATP minimum is better served committing to a larger block up front, because the per-hour rate steps down at every tier and the savings compound over hundreds of hours.

We also look at how quickly you can realistically fly. A 200-hour block flown at four hours a day finishes in roughly seven weeks; the same block flown two days a week stretches past six months. If your schedule is limited, a smaller block now with the option to extend later keeps your money working instead of sitting on account.

What Is Included in Every Package

All package rates are wet — fuel and oil are included, and time is billed on the Hobbs meter. There are no club dues, no monthly membership, no fuel surcharges and no weather cancellation fees. Aircraft insurance is carried by us, and our in-house maintenance team works around the clock so a squawk does not turn into a week of lost flying.

Packages include dispatch support for flight planning, access to the pilot lounge and briefing area, and help arranging accommodations near the airport for pilots flying an intensive block. Unused hours never expire while your package is active, and hours can be flown in any of our eligible aircraft rather than being locked to a single tail number.

    Booking and Cancellation in Practice

Aircraft are released for booking twelve hours a day, seven days a week. Most package pilots reserve a standing daily slot and add opportunistic blocks when an aircraft opens up. Because we operate our own fleet rather than brokering privately owned aircraft, our dispatch availability does not disappear when an owner decides to fly.

If South Florida weather cancels a flight, you are not charged and the hours stay in your package. That single policy matters more than most pilots expect: at schools that bill for weather cancellations, a wet-season afternoon can cost real money without a minute logged.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What time building package sizes do you offer?

We offer 50, 100, and 250-hour single-engine blocks and 25, 50, and 100-hour multi-engine blocks. Custom and mixed packages are also available.

    Do package hours expire?

No. Hours you purchase do not expire, though most pilots fly their full package within 30 to 90 days while staying in Fort Lauderdale.

    Is housing included?

Housing is an optional add-on. We have relationships with several furnished apartment providers within 10 minutes of KFXE — ask for current pricing when you apply.

Can I share a package with another pilot?

Yes — many pilots fly together for cross-countries and split time as safety pilot and PIC. This is a common way to accelerate IFR currency at no extra cost.
